Résumé :
In the American racist environment, black students suffer various types of ill-treatment including bullying. Reginald McKnight fictionalized the suffering of young students in Texas through his story in “The Kind of Light that Shines on Texas”. He creates a young character, Clint who is victim of bullying in school setting. Through the lenses of Critical Race Theory, this paper analyzes interpersonal conflict and resilience as expressed through bullying and its effects. The paper finds that bullying in schools is psychologically harmful to the victims as well as the victimizers.
